I Miss My Sticker Books

Oh I wish I were young again. That's not to say I don't think I'm NOT young. But I mean young as in 7, 8, 9 or 10. I liked being able to jump rope, play make believe with my best friend Andrea, pretending to be part of the baby-sitters club (LOL, yes we created our own business and actually posted our phone numbers at the mailbox for people to rip off) and, okay, even dressing up my barbies with my little cousin Diana. So fun! Seeing these fun stickers and rubber stamps sent a wave of nostalgia through me. That's not to say I don't enjoy where I am now. But, at times when I see things that remind me of my childhood, like these stickers, really makes me wish I were 7 all over again.

I found these off from Paper Source–that site is addicting. So be forewarned you could be there for hours!

Banana-holics Unite

It's been awhile since I've stepped into Banana Republic. Actually, I don't think I've stepped foot in the actual shop since last year. I know, I know, my bio says I'm a Banana-holic. I am. I truly am. I've just been avoiding the store like the plague, because I know once I'm in, I'll probably leave with a shopping bag in tow. Well, judging by their website, it looks like khaki and casual is completely in. I like these two looks below–specifically because I think they would go well with my silhouette. Oh, and i LOVE that top above. Not 100% about the shade, but that shirt with a cardigan is calling my name LOL.

Eye Candy

You wanna hear something funny? I almost forgot how much I love makeup. Today I was on Sephora looking for some nude lipsticks for an upcoming shoot for work, anddd, well, let's just say I got distracted by all the newest items. You know on YouTube when you click on a video and it has related links? Well, Sephora somewhat does the same thing, but they get you by showing items that "You Might Also Like" and then you can't help but feel like you have to click on the product to see what it's all about. It's so frustrating too, because I'm such a sucker for cute packaging–especially lines like Benefit Cosmetics. Anywho, here are some items that I've added to my wish list, some are new, some because I like the way it's presented, and some are oldies but goodies.

This cheek stain was one of the newer items. See what I mean when I say I'm drawn to cute/pretty packaging? I already like Stila's converter, which is like a cheek stain, but I'm always on the lookout for a new product. So far the reviewers on Sephora have been kind to this item and they've given it five stars. Apparently, when you put this rosy tint on it gives off that really "natural" look.

I've been buying the juicy tubes from Lancome since grade 9, for me, I'm always on and off with this product. NARS on the other hand, was recommended to me by a makeup artist last year, and I LOVE LOVE IT! I have darker Asian skin, so Copacabana works really well with my skin tone.

I have to be honest, I've never really heard of Josie Maran until today. But, the butterflies and the bright colours caught my eye. As for eyeshadow, I don't really have a go-to brand per se, so I'm always trying different lines, as long as they have a purple/blue hue I'm sold.

Anddd the rest of my picks!! See what I mean by addicting?! ^_^.

Bakerella–You're My Baking Idol

I don't know how she does it, but Bakerella is officially my BAKING IDOL (hehe, hence my title post!). She makes baking look fun and easy. I remember when I first read about her cake pops (which are cake-shaped lollipops btw) I almost, the key word is almost, attempted to make them. Buttt, I just got too busy. This year, I'm hoping (*fingers crossed*) that I can make these Easter Cake Pops. They're freaking cute. The question is, do they taste as good as they look?

Target Anyone?!

Ooohh I just read that Liberty of London–this awesome shop in London, England–of course–known for their pretty patterns (especially floral prints!) is coming to a Target near you (the closest one to us is in Buffalo *sad face*) on March 14th! This might be one of those times where I envy my American friends. So unfair, when will they come to Canada?! Soon I hope.

(SIDE NOTE, I'M LAUGHING RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I CAN HEAR MY MOM CHEERING FOR THE CANADIAN OLMYPICS TEAM IN SPEED SKATING!)

Okay back to Liberty of London. Anyone want to buy me a ceramic teapot, it's only $12.99, and if you convert that into Canadian I'm sure it'll be like $15. Well, here are some of their fun schtuff.

I Want A Floral Dress

The weather outside is really depressing. Very grey. Very cold. Very blah. Andddd, it seems like my whole wardrobe is like that right now. Very black, grey, and well, yeah that's pretty much it. Not even a hint of pink or white. Welll... unless blue jeans count as a colour. So it got me thinking, you know what I need? A really, REALLY pretty floral dress. And, even if I am on a budget that doesn't mean I can't look, riiite? To nix my flower craving I went to H&M, used their online fashion studio program and sort of made my own creation–if you can even call it that ^_^ ! What do you think? Err.. and I did cave a bit with the black, it's my comfort colour. But you have to admit the dress itself and the bangle make a powerful colour combo. *Sigh*, I'm so proud of myself.

Obsession: Cupcakes!

{image via flickr}

Yay! I'd first like to start by welcoming you to my blog of good randomness. I can't tell you how excited I am to start blogging. It's been on my New Year's resolution, and as you can tell, it's finally starting to kick in. Although, I must admit, I'm a bit nervous. You never know what people will think of your thoughts or ideas. But, it's all good. I just hope to inspire by showing you some of my cute finds/ideas. And, considering this is my first blog for the year, I thought it would only be fitting to talk about one of my true loves in life–no not that kind of love–I was thinking more along the lines of food–sweets!!

Seriously. My addiction for sugary items can be out of control at times. But I can't help it–I LOVE DESSERTS. Ask anyone–my friends, my family, my co-workers, my boyfriend–they'll tell you just how obsessed I am.

And, at the top of my sugar-obsessed list is, none other than, cupcakes. I don't know why, but there is something so yummy about cupcakes, maybe it's because they're like finishable (is that even a word?) cakes but in a mini-size. So where do I get my sugary stash every time I have a sweet craving? That's easy–Flour Studio (flourstudio.com), located at Yonge and Eglinton. And, if they weren't so far from where I live, I think I would be there almost every day.

Pictured above are some of their delicious cupcakes, from left to right: mint chocolate, caramel de sel (has a decadent caramel filling) and chocolate topped with raspberry icing. If you haven't been here yet, you just GOTTA TRY IT! I also noticed they added some yummy tarts to their every day selection–I have yet to try them–but I'm sure they're just as delish as their cupcakes. Oh, andddd to top it all off, they also make some beautiful floral arrangements, so it's a 2-in-1 store.
